Patients with sinus disease can typically present in two different ways. Some patients have symptoms on a regular basis for over 3 months and are considered to have Chronic Sinusitis. Other patients will suffer from multiple sinus infections a year while feeling well or have minimal symptoms between these infections. These patients are considered to have Recurrent Acute Sinusitis. If you have had four or more sinus infections requiring antibiotics in a year you may benefit from balloon sinuplasty.
